Bilang kauna-unahang Philippine Music Festival noong 2015, nabuo ang Fusion na may isang vision: i-unite ang lahat ng klase ng OPM sa isang malaking selebrasyon, ano man ang genre o generation. Sa una pa lang ay napatunayan na nito ang power ng OPM dahil sa mga sumusuporta rito, at ang top-tier production value para i-compliment ang talent na mayro’n ang mga Filipino.

Ang Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival ay hindi lang isang concert, kun’di isang celebration ng pagkakaisa nating mga Pinoy through Original Pinoy Music (OPM). Likas na sa’ting mga Pinoy ang music dahil ito ang ating universal language para makipaghalubilo sa iba’t ibang henerasyon. Mula sa concert, nag-evolve ang Fusion bilang cultural movement kung saan maaaring ipagmalaki ng mga Pinoy ang kanilang artistry. Ang Fusion ay isang platform para iangat ang mga homegrown talent, pagsama-samahin ang icons, global Filipino musicians, at mga musikerong nagsisimula pa lang sa isang one-of-a-kind OPM experience.

Sabi nga ng founder ng Fusion na si Gladys Basinillo, "Now is the time to put OPM in the spotlight.” Dagdag pa niya, "While international acts continuously fill arenas and festivals across the country, our own artists and music deserve the same level of support. Ang theme ng Fusion this 2025 ay, “Musika Natin ’To!”, isang tawag para ipagmalaki natin ang OPM with pride. Pag-iisahin ng event na ‘to ang Filipino music na hindi lang performance ang dala, kun’di interactive art, cultural exhibits, at local flavors para sa lahat. Isa itong statement na ang OPM ay hindi lang genre ng music, ito ay ang ating identity, pride, at story as a nation.
